Today, XSeed Games has released their first Otome game. It is London Detective Mysteria, for the PS Vita currently but a Windows PC release is upcoming too. It's a murder mystery genre and there are both good and bad endings.

Her Majesty the Queen’s birthday was to be the heiress of House Whiteley’s debut into high society, but an inquiring mind begs for more than parties as she stumbles into the many curiosities that lay hidden in London’s darkest corners. Help sharpen Lady Whiteley’s instincts as a budding detective, take control of her present to uncover the mysteries of her past, and grow an unbreakable bond with one of many dashing personalities from well-known works of fiction.

Anyone else thinking of picking this game up? I'm not really that great at murder mystery games, but I think the art style is appealing enough that I might pick it up.

Since we're still on Hakuoki month, here are some fics and meta I've posted recently:

Fics:

Sanan route (Sanan/Chizuru shippy):
All Living Creatures, M, post-Kyoto Winds.
Languages, M, post-route mad science in Europe.

Heisuke route (but Heisuke isn't in them, focused on fury!Sen):
Three Kisses, E, Sanan/Sen noncon set while she's imprisoned.
Reconfiguration, T, Sen/Kimigiku post-route.

Nagakura route:
Like Sharing Sweets, M, Nagakura likes sex and Chizuru is curious about it.

Meta and headcanons:
Saito in Hakuoki and in Rurouni Kenshin. I love them both!
Headcanons for different Chizurus. Chizuru as different people with different backstories in each route.

I have a few other posts in my Hakuoki tag:

So the Nintendo Switch seems to be shaping up to be the PS Vita's successor.  Currently there are only few English otome games out there, however over in Japan? Otomate has some pretty big plans for it. With 20+ games currently on their planned list, it seems like it's going to be a sound investment for otome gamers.

What do you all think about this? Are you excited for more releases on the Switch?

I am! Personally I haven't had much use for my Switch since getting it, and I'm really hopeful that some of those games from Otomate will be released in English---especially since there's some news going on that the official Otomate store will be heading to Anime Matsuri in 2019. Maybe we'll get some good news...?

Remember, if you know Japanese, the Nintendo Switch isn't region locked!
