Lets Talk Otome Mobile Games

Okay, so mobile games. I find they're not always the best of quality in comparison to PC or handheld games, however they're still very fun and I was wondering if anyone else likes to play mobile otome games.

Personally, I have a LOT of otome games on my iphone. I can't play them all every day, because I have a good 20-something and that'd take hours, but I have a large variety for whatever I'm in the mood for that day. From Angels/Demons (Nightmare Harem) to Vampires (Blood In Roses / Prince of the Night), even Sengoku era (Ikemen Sengoku) or Alice in Wonderland (Lost in Alice / Ikemen Revolution). Then there's Love Triangle (Love Tangle / Double Proposal) and Zombie Apocalypse scenarios (Dangerous Fellows)...........like I said, a variety. 

My favorite ones at the moment would probably be Ikemen Revolution and Blood In Roses. Honestly, I didn't expect to like either when I first installed it for some reason, but they grew on me!

Do you play mobile games? Are there any that you particularly like? Or did you have a bad experience with it and swore it off forever?

One I actually managed to finish was Everlove: Rose which was adequate. I played a bit of Astoria, which I found ok, and Mystic Messenger, which I quite enjoyed, until my phone decided to start dying any time I do anything more complex than send messages ;_;

I don't like the tiny text and have been pondering borrowing someone's ipad to play some of these games one day, though idk which of them are compatible.

I tried playing Wicked Wolves recently, but then wasn't keen on the currently available romance options, so I got rid of it :-/ Plus I would always rather just pay for something once rather than get bugged about in-game purchases ...

I was quite interested in Dangerous Fellows ... it's a bit of a different setting! What have you found that like?

Dangerous Fellows...alright, I'm not TOO far into it, just a quarter of the way if I'm interpreting the markers right, but so far I actually like it.

It has a horror mystery vibe to it, and the love interests are all types that I like. The sounds they chose and the usage of vibrations get you a little spooked when the zombies appear. The writing is significantly better than their idol fan otome game, which I dropped because the protagonist was obnoxious. Not only that, but there's no "you must have tickets to play" system so you can reasonably play through it all in one go----HOWEVER.

There IS a ticket system for special scenes, and you need rubies for clothing. You can skip past the special scenes and choose not to wear the special clothing, but I have the feeling that it'll make the game a little more boring. If you're super patient, you can buy tickets using rubies that you get from advertisements. It's just really slow. The prices for the rubies is actually fairly reasonable compared to most games, but they can be spent really quickly, so...


If you're bugged by in game purchases it's probably not a good idea to play Dangerous Fellows. But I think its good for a "hey, lets see what a zombie apocalypse otome game is like!" occasional play.

I tried a few before, but nothing sticks except 7 Husbands (or something along the lines) - but even that one is a disappointment. I am attracted by the idea as it's quite an actual polyamory, and the art is nice so when I got my new phone I downloaded it again, but many things stop me from playing it again. For instance, there is no BGM (or is it just my phone?), no skip option, and no backlog. Since it's mobile, there's that ticket system to read and gacha for costume dress up (I honestly have no need for dress up minigame so I'm a bit annoyed. Just a bit), making me feel so lazy to play it again.

The only otome mobile game I play so far is First Love Story. It's quite unusual as it has GL and BL routes other than otome (hetero). I actually like it so far. I talked about it here, along with what I dislike from mobile games and some things about the BL route. I'll cover the otome routes...hopefully soon.

Yeah, dress up system is a pain in the butt. I don't know WHY so many have it when I'm just here to read stories, but they do, and sometimes it even interferes with your ability to read the darn thing! Like, they'll have challenges that require more than a few days of playing their minigames and its so frustrating.

First Love Story!! I actually installed it a few days ago, though I haven't really played it yet since I've been "busy" (read: playing other games). I'm planning on the GL route first since it looks cute.
