The Situation With This Community

otomeworldHello all! You may remember some discussion a few months back when the previous mod vanished about getting new mods. I contacted dreamwidth support at the time, and then again a few weeks ago, and they haven't gotten back to me. I don't know if anyone else has tried.
I haven't been posting as much while I waited for the situation to be resolved (which was irrational of me, really) but it looks like this is as resolved as it's going to get.
So, we have two options:
1) Stay as we are. This is the easiest option, and doesn't lose any members. But having no mod means we can't change the userinfo/header/sticky posts etc, and can't deal with spammers/trouble makers if that ever becomes a problem.
2) Create a new community. This is more effort, and will lose anyone who can't be bothered joining it. But it means we can update things like the userinfo and header, and are in a better position to handle anything that might go wrong in the future.
Personally I think we should create a new community, and am happy to do be the mod for it, along with anyone else who's interested. I can promise that I wouldn't vanish or stop doing basic administrative tasks, and while I don't have the energy for complex graphic design or lots of regular posts etc would be happy to share mod duties with other people who do.
But I want to check in with the community first.
So: what do you all want to do?
(And yes, it would all be much easier if dreamwidth just transferred mod duties over LIKE THEIR SUPPORT PAGE SAYS THEY WILL, but it looks like that's not going to happen :/)

Date: 2019-06-17 05:23 pm (UTC)I'd like to help but I don't think I'd be very useful as a mod. I could help with the layout, look for one that looks nice and customize it, in case you don't want to do that yourself. But other than that I'm not sure there is much I could do...
